CPT B.V. (Composite Production Technology) originally started as an engineering company in the process automation of composite production. However, the development of a super lightweight tank container for bulk liquid logistics soon became the main activity of the company. Within a few years it managed to build and design a unique product based on a one-step filament wound composite tank. After successful testing the approved design has been taken in production. In addition, CPT technology is used for the production of large-scale composite products. This by means of the issuance of licenses on its' technology or production by CPT itself.

TANKWELL TANK CONTAINERS Tankwell Composite Tank Containers enable efficient and sustainable bulk logistics of liquids due to the – globally unequaled – low weight of the product. By the use of a unique production technology and integral design, Tankwell tank containers offer a 30 to 40% lower weight and a 40% improved thermal insulation compared to common tank containers made out of steel. The reduced weight allows for an increased payload per transport. Therefore, the number of shipments can be decreased, leading to savings in freight cost. The excellent thermal properties minimize the need for additional heating during transport or re-heating of the product prior to the customer delivery, further reducing the costs and impact on the environment. Tankwell tank containers provide 5 to 10% savings on total freight cost and fuel consumption in intermodel bulk logistics of liquids. The benefits also result in one major gain: reduction of CO2 emissions and thus a positive impact on the environment.
