About Conquistadores Capital

Conquistadores Capital was founded in 2014 as a Dutch student investment group which is part of B&R Beurs Investment Society.

The group consists of ambitious students who have the same passion about financial markets and instruments. Most members have chosen their own Bachelor/Master specialization, which enables the group to create a large playing field of knowledge and interests. The group has a diverse academic background in economics, business, econometrics, and law.

Conquistadores Capital competes every year in the Flow Traders Investment Competition organized by B&R Beurs. They manage a portfolio of around €4.000, consisting of a mixture of stocks, bonds, ETFs and derivatives of financial products. Naturally, Conquistadores Capital aims to generate positive returns, but capital gain is not the only core objective of the investment group. Members first and foremost strive to increase their knowledge of the financial markets, and help other members on their journey to do so. therefore, its first-year members are encouraged to start making investment proposals from the start on. The more experienced investors will review their proposals and offer a helping hand where needed.

B&R Beurs Investment Society is the largest student investment society of Europe with around 1100 members. New members join existing or form new investment groups and invest in the financial markets. B&R Beurs organises lectures (called: Academies) to provide its members with knowledge on investing. The society also organises bi-weekly social drinks. www.bnrbeurs.nl
