About COMET: COvid MEdicaTion study
COMET: COvid MEdicaTion study
Dear colleagues,
Despite many rumors, the effect of certain drugs on clinical outcomes in COVID-19 is still unknown. At Erasmus MC (the Netherlands), we have initiated to make a database of COVID-patients admitted to the hospital to identify influence of medication use on the clinical course. We hope to gather a lot of patient data across the world in a short time. All the data is handled completely anonymous (sex+ birth year). Permission from a medical ethic committee has been granted.
The data is gathered in an extremely simple and user-friendely database. The entrance of the first data set required for one patient takes less 5 minutes.
We realize that we are asking an extra effort in this extremely difficult times, but we think it’s worthwhile if we can get more information on this topic. If you are interested, please send an email to: h.vanderkuy@erasmusmc.nl. Mention COMET in the subject heading.
If you enter at least 50 patients, you will be listed as co-author.
Do not hesitate to spread this message to colleagues.
