The Christian Student Party (CSF) is a party in the Student Council of the Wageningen University that dates back to the 1970’s. in 1973, the Progressive Student Party (PSF) was the only student representative in the University Council, until CSF was founded that year to be a different voice. Between 1973 and 1998, PSF and CSF were the only parties in the University Council. This changed when the law on modernising of university governance structure (MUB) was adopted and the University Council was split into a Central Works Council (for personnel) and the Student Council. This led to the formation of other parties, Veste and S&I. In the following years, CSF stood strong representing students until it disintegrated in 2007. However in 2014, CSF resurfaced where they won 2 seats in the council for the next academic year. CSF seeks to represent not only Christian students but all students with the core values of integrity, equality, responsibility. As CSF, we believe that it's important students know what to expect and can trust in the integrity of the Executive Board (EB). CSF is critical of the design of new and existing policies and points out towards the EB if their actions are not in line with the core values. As CSF we believe that every person has equal dignity that needs to be protected by the EB. CSF is in the position to see whether equality is really looked for, realized and protected by the EB. Last but not least, we believe that everyone has the responsibility to take care of both personal belongings and that of the university as well as care for one another (especially the vulnerable groups)! Online education is now the new normal and not everyone has caught on fast enough. Some students still lag behind. As CSF, we have communications with the students where we can get their opinions on how to improve the current normal with Online as well as other critical policies and upcoming changes.
