Our group features two distinctive 4-star hotels, Chassé Hotel and Chassé Hotel Residency, offering a total of 135 elegant rooms and a dance studio. We are dedicated to providing personalized service and ensuring a memorable stay for our guests. Our Chassé Dance Studio is a creative hub for dancers of all levels, offering a dynamic space to practice, teach, and perform. At Chassé, we seamlessly blend heritage with modern luxury, creating an inviting atmosphere where guests feel at home and our team thrives. Chassé: A New Life for a Historic Landmark In the heart of Amsterdam Eastside stands a historic building—a former church that served as a community cornerstone. After its closure in 1998, it fell into disrepair until Lenny Balkissoon, a dancer with Guyanese roots, transformed it in 2011. With respect for its sacred history, Lenny envisioned a place where creativity and hospitality flourish together. Inspired by the dance term “Chassé,” he revitalized the space as Chassé Dance Studios and Chassé Hotel. Chassé Hotel Residency, which opened on July 14, 2023, invites guests into a beautifully renovated space that blends its historic charm with elements of Lenny's Guyanese heritage, offering a unique combination of history and modern luxury. The transformation's centerpiece is the theatre hall, once the church's main sanctuary, now a versatile venue for performances, weddings, conferences, meditation, and yoga classes. It reflects the building's adaptability and Lenny's creative vision. Chassé Dance Studios and Chassé Hotel are more than just a studio and hotel; they are a testament to vision and dedication, offering a space where art, culture, and community come together, breathing new life into a beloved landmark.
