About CHAD'ART

At CHAD’ART, we believe in celebrating cultures with our love for silk. We pay tribute to the many societies and people who inhabited the Silk Road, interweaving their own rich history, art, and architecture throughout each path. The essence of CHAD’ART is to provide the highest quality of silk to our customers, much like the tradespeople along the Silk Road centuries ago. For this reason, we have sourced 100% hand-spun Turkish silk for our collections, expertly crafted by artisans from Bursa.

Located in the Marmara region, people from Bursa learned the intricate craft of silk-making from Silk Road traders, and soon became a major hub for silk production. Today, its known as a silk paradise, but due to the pandemic the silk industry has faced many hardships. We are honored to support many local laborers, artisans, and tailors who have helped craft our CHAD’ART collections.

What's in the name?

Chad'art [pronounced as ched-art] is a fusion of Chador (garment in Persian) and art. It is our definition of delightful art on a piece of silk.
