C. Gottmann BV is an international trading organisation which has imported and exported fruit to every corner of the globe for over 80 years.

Our company was founded by Carl Gottmann in 1937. Forty years later, in the 1970s, we became part by the German Anton Dürbeck GmbH . At those times, it was complicated for a foreign company to clear customs for import overseas fruit. That is why a collaboration with a Dutch organisation was very attractive for strategic reasons.

The acquisition by Dürbeck opened the doors to new ways of trading. Gottman grew strongly and focused on subtropical fruit and bulk products such as citrus fruits and grapes. We traded in South Africa, Latin America and the Middle and Far East.

We still frequently trade in these areas. The partnerships we have in these areas are often dozens of years old, therefore we know exactly what we can expect from these trading partners. VISION AND MISSION: The vision of C. Gottmann is characterized by our ambition to develop the most efficient and sustainable solutions in the field of fresh produce in close cooperation with our clients and suppliers. Our goal is to grow through innovating and increasing the sustainability of our production methods.

Our vision is based on a long, successful history in which sustainable partnerships, transparent collaborations and the Dutch trading mentality are of key importance.

Our strategic location plays an important role in our international success. Our location in Barendrecht is in the middle of the European port area. Therefore, we have an excellent connection to the port of Rotterdam, our storage site of 40,000m2 in De Meern and the most important transit routes to the European hinterland.
