About Capilix

Capilix | Online measurement of ionic composition of water. Capilix, a company located in Heerenveen, develops and sells microchip capillary electrophoresis technology for on-line applications in the water and agricultural markets. Capilix’s vision is to bring the laboratory to the process, rather than to depend on centralized laboratory facilities. The technology is useful for fast quantitation of many different metal ions and other small (in)organic ions present in aqueous samples, in one single measurement run. This ion profiling has several potential applications such as water quality monitoring in drinking water plants and process control in waste water treatment. Capilix has experience with ion monitoring in various fields of the water world, during longer periods (up to several years) of industrial operation.
