Cadena international development projects, is an hands-on education and training consultancy firm established in the Netherlands in 2008. Cadena’s core area of expertise relates to design and implementation of training programmes and the provision of consulting services for Secondary Education, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and Agriculture Technical Vocational Education and Training (ATVET) sectors. Key expertise in relation to education and training assignment includes; 1. Consultancy services which include, amongst others, sector studies, labour market surveys, capacity building for TVET/ Education line ministries, institutional strengthening, and advisory services for policy and strategy development, curriculum development, NQF, EMIS, RPL, and Quality Assurance.

2. Training, Cadena implements (teacher and staff) training needs assessments, designs, implements, manages and coordinates tailor-made training programmes. The training programmes implemented vary in size and scope, including, train-the-trainers programmes, training on-site, on selected locations in country as well as training abroad. Besides design and implementation Cadena is responsible for preparation of the site, design of training manuals, delivery of training materials, preparation of teachers and venue staff, all local logistics, assessments, quality control, and monitoring and evaluation.

3. Turn-key project development, refers to the design of complex projects in which various components such as supply of equipment, works, teacher and staff training and specific technical assistance are integrated.
