About Bureau Lans

Bureau Lans is a design studio founded by Leandro van der Lans, an architectural engineer with a passion for design.

Working as a freelance designer in multiple disciplines over 10 years, I have built a diverse portfolio in the field of (interior) architecture, retail design and furniture design.

Noteworthy in my portfolio is concept design for retail brands (Calvin Klein, Suitsupply, Scotch & Soda), furniture design (Format Furniture) and architectural design & engineering (Studio Pallesh, Filling Pieces). With this diverse portfolio I’ve been able to fluently adapt and adhere to a wide array of brand-concepts and office guidelines. Although I like to surround myself with other professionals, I also work solitarily from my office based in Amsterdam. With individual work I can fully focus on the needs of the client and providing them with my personal expertise. I have an open mind, eye for detail and the need to continuously search for simplicity. With this combination I aim to merge function and design in a contemporary way.
