The Boxyl® Innovation After several years (1994-1995) of intensive research and development Visser en Zonen International B.V. has been successful in developing a man- and environmentally friendly product Boxyl® for reduction of organic and bacteriological pollution, especially in the food processing and drink water industry. Boxyl® burns (oxidizes) bacteria and organic pollution
. Protects the product against infection and re-infection
. Mild and long lasting. Dissolves both gram positive as well as gram negative bacteria, viruses, moulds, algae. 
 Does not leave any detectable residue
. Not antibiotic; the advantage being that no resistance can be built up. For preserving, the concentration can vary between 0,001% till max. 0,1%. For disinfecting the concentration can vary between 0,1 till 0,5%. Boxyl® can be applied in those cases in which bacteriological cleanliness of the product is necessary and can be used in various fresh, deep-frozen, dried and other sorts of preserved foods, like diced or precooked vegetables, dairy products, mussels, shrimps, various other fish and fish products, meat and meat products as well as ready-made meals. Other possible applications are the treatment of consumption and hatching eggs, stables and areas where food products are prepared, processed, packed and Stored. Because of its broad disinfection potential, Boxyl® destroys gram positive as well as gram negative bacteria, viruses, yeast’s, algae and fungi and it prevents the building up of slime and foam. Boxyl® is no antibiotic, which means no risk that the bacteria will become resistant to Boxyl®.
