About Botanica Innovare

Our passion arises from the following question: How are we going to feed 9 billion people in 2050? It is a question which needs to be answered in the upcoming years. Botanica Innovare wants to contribute to the solution of this problem.

We make this possible by: • gaining attention for the vertical farming system. • providing workshops which cover the topics: health, sustainability and environment. • encouraging healthier eating habits that are useable for everyone. • creating an intensive collaboration between education, government and businesses.

Vertical farming is a theme which is not completely known among consumers but it is definitely important for the future. Because of the increasing world population with almost 200.000 people a day, the demand for living spaces, jobs and nutrition also increases. Agricultural lands are moved to nearby areas due to the construction of more houses. Nutrients cover a longer road to reach the consumer which leads to more carbon dioxide emissions. The vertical farming system offers the solution to this problem.
