Een Bedrijven Investeringszone (BIZ) is een wettelijk instrument waarmee alle ondernemers uit het Hoofdweggebied gezamenlijk investeren in de kwaliteit van hun omgeving. Een BIZ is dus een instrument vóór en dóór ondernemers. Door een BIZ kunnen kosten van de investeringen in de kwaliteit van de bedrijfsomgeving verdeeld worden onder alle ondernemers. Te denken valt dan aan onderhoud van de buitenruimte, gladheidsbestrijding, beveiliging e.d.
