About BioBulkBende

BioBulkBende is Rotterdam's first member-run organic food co-op, established in 2019 to address the flaws and vulnerabilities of the current food system. Our members collectively purchase organic food from local producers and distributors, ensuring greater control over what we consume. We believe that food shouldn't be treated strictly as a commodity, and that everyone should have access to high-quality, organic, and affordable food without relying on complex logistics or excessive packaging.

Inspired by co-ops like Vokomokum in Amsterdam and The Park Slope Food Coop, BioBulkBende operates on a volunteer basis. Every member contributes their time to uphold our core values: fostering community, sharing organic food, and sourcing environmentally friendly ingredients produced without labor exploitation. We source fresh produce from local farmers in the Rijnmond region and dry goods from the organic supplier De Nieuwe Band / Odin.
