About Big Chemistry
Big Chemistry fosters excellent research to build an ecosystem of organizations to design, develop and manufacture world-class innovative solutions for chemical and food industry. Together with world-class researchers, including Nobel Prize winner Prof. Ben Feringa, we focus on impactful, commercially viable research. Key areas include food and beverages, paints and coatings, pharmaceuticals, agrichemicals, and biocompatible materials.
We supports academic and industrial partners with coaching, funding, and market access, using a unique database of complex molecular properties. Next to international companies, Big Chemistry collaborates with the Max Planck Gesellschaft and the Helmholtz Gemeinschaft to create a European impact. In December 2023, Big Chemistry got awarded €98 million from the Dutch national growth fund to develop their ecosystem, industrialize production, and advance application technology. By 2027, we will develop the RobotLab as a commercial entity, promoting chemical AI and fostering collaborations through open innovation, contract research, and start-up creation.
