About Be Rooted School of Compassion

At Be Rooted we support professionals in their personal leadership and well-being at work. We create safe spaces for professionals across the globe to connect to themselves and each other through personal well-being programs. To learn about the application of contemplative and compassionate practices and that directing your attention inward first, calms and clears the mind, and supports you find root in where you are, where you came from and where you want to go.

Heart-Centred Dialogue The drive behind our programs is to create Awareness in workplace environments of the power of building a community space for open dialogue and connection; for focus on our personal wellbeing. When we cultivate the qualities of empathy, kindness and compassion together and bring them into our workplace interactions, we all thrive.

Our Programs We create safe spaces in the midst of a busy day to allow for moments of connection with ourselves and others. Relatively short, high impact moments to learn new skills and experience together. Space where participants learn about evidence-based life tools on pillars of Emotional Intelligence, Presencing, Meditation and Awareness as well as experience directly the effects of contemplation in connectedness. To tap into into how you are really doing in the moment, learning to express and to really listen to how others are doing.

Barbara Piper founded Be Rooted to support academic professionals move into a life of balance and ease. To teach about the 'how to' of opening your heart and finding stillness, balance and a compassionate response to life. We aim to model this in our programs.

It's as Irish poet William Butler Yeats said about having stillness; to make our minds like still water so that the people who gather around us ... can live for a moment with a clearer, perhaps even with a fiercer life because of our quiet.
