My paintings are all about experiencing colour. Colours only come to life in combination with each other. From the start I have specified rules within which colours are being arranged, in vertical over horizontal stripes or planes. The fact that the colours consistently elude as soon as the work is finished is fascinating, they then forget the system and begin to speak for themselves.
