About Antoniem

Antoniem was born in 1948 as Ton Voortman in Rotterdam, where he graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts. After a career as an independent graphic designer and illustrator, he fully focused on sculpting in 2005. He works alternately in his studios in The Netherlands and France.

The woman, her clothes and their symbiosis have a crucial place in his work. He exhibits regularly and his sculptures are included in various corporate and private collections, both nationally and internationally. In 2019 he starts experimenting with elementary shapes under the name Antoniem. The result is unique sculptures and installations, executed in various materials.
