Anticipatory Dynamics explores how the ways we imagine, sense and prepare for what might come shape what becomes possible in the present.

At its centre is Critical Anticipation Studies: an emerging field of inquiry concerned with anticipation not simply as prediction, planning or thinking about the future, but as a social, cultural and embodied practice. We examine how expectations, narratives, emotions, experiences and systems influence the choices we make and the worlds those choices help bring about.

The Collaboratorium brings together research, experimentation and experience design to develop new ways of studying and practising anticipation.

Confluence Blue extends this inquiry into lived practice, exploring how sensory and emotional experience, place, culture and shared experience can become ways of knowing, questioning and acting.

Our aim is not to predict the future. It is to better understand what anticipation does—and to explore how different anticipatory practices might contribute to human and ecological flourishing.
