Anne-Wies van Oosten is a well-known Wine & Food journalist from the Netherlands, currently living in Romania. She has obtained the degree Register Vinoloog of the Wine Academy® in The Netherlands, followed by a variety of specialization courses on wine and food, both in the Netherlands and abroad. She successfully finished the WSET level 4 Diploma and graduated as Weinakademiker at the Austrian Weinakademie with her thesis about ‘The Development and Future of Wine Tourism in Transylvania’.

On a daily base she passionately shares her insights and knowledge on Wine & Food on her own website Anne-Wies.nl. Writing as a free-lancer you can find her articles on several other websites and wine and food magazines, amongst others glassofbubbly.com.

She frequently participates as part of the jury in local and international wine- and food tasting events, including the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, the Concours Mondial du Sauvignon, the Berliner Wine Trophy, the International Bulk Wine Championship, Mundus Vini, the International Rosé Championship, the Open Balkan Wine Competition, GROW du Monde, he Concursul Vinuri Rose, the Concursul de Vinuri Spumante Romanesti and Vinarium International Wine Contest.

Part of the year she spends time in her house in Transylvania, Romania, from where she visits Romanian wineries. The other part she travels the world to visit other wineries and Wine & Food Events.

As a wine journalist Anne-Wies is a member of the Verenigde Vinologen Nederland (United Wine Specialists of The Netherlands), the FIJEV (International Federation of Wine and Spirits Journalists and Writers) and the Circle of Wine Writers.

Anne-Wies is very active on social media on which, amongst others, she shares her articles. On a monthly base she reaches over 20.000 Wine & Food lovers from all over the world.
