About Amsterdam Shoulder and Elbow Centre of Expertise ASECE

The Amsterdam Shoulder and Elbow Center of Expertise (ASECE) is founded to (1) improve and facilitate Shoulder and Elbow healthcare and (2) stimulate, educate and facilitate MD-PhD candidates and Orthopaedic Residents with a special interest in the Shoulder and Elbow.

In accordance with our vision in healthcare, the goal is to perform high quality multidisciplinary research to be shared at scientific congresses for both the shoulder and the elbow. We collaborate with institutions in the Netherlands as well as international institutions like faculty of Human Movements Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Flinders Medical Centre Adelaide.

Young promising students with a clinical, biomechanical or biomedical background who aim to get more experience in this field get supervision from the senior surgeons and researchers within our organization to develop themselves as proficient researchers.
