About Amsterdam Finance Club

The Amsterdam Finance Club (AFC) is one of the premier business students’ clubs in Amsterdam. We are a lecturer-student-led club that focuses on providing our members opportunities for professional and social development. The AFC promotes finance related activities and careers throughout the IBS-HvA community. With events such as the Annual Finance Conference and the Days on Euronext among numerous others, we bring together members of the IBS community and professionals from finance world and beyond. The Club caters to students with a wide variety of finance related interests – whether it is Investment Banking, Accounting, Trading, Consultancy, or Financial Risk Management. We all know a career in finance is hard work, but it takes just as much hard work to get there. That is where we come in. Our mission is to increase the financial literacy of the International Business School (IBS) students and citizens of local communities served by the University. The club provides a forum for education related to topics that emphasize the importance of making better financial decisions. AFC promotes the interests of the IBS through building working relationships with industry professionals, and other local organizations. The club conducts seminars, conferences, and holds other various events to provide networking opportunities for students with similar interests.
