About Americas Accreditation Council AAC

Founded in 2017 and based in Curaçao, AAC is an internationally active accreditation and external quality assurance body supporting higher education institutions, academic programs, and education-facing providers across the Americas and beyond.

AAC’s work is grounded in defined standards, institutional evidence, independent expert review, governance-based decision-making, monitoring, continuous improvement, and public transparency. Its international profile includes recognition in Curaçao and Anguilla, participation in ENQA, CHEA CIQG, and INQAAHE, and professional cooperation with ACBSP and AQAS.

AAC combines established accreditation principles with an international quality assurance perspective and readiness for the AI era. We support institutions and providers in demonstrating quality, strengthening internal systems, improving accountability, and building stakeholder trust.

AAC does not promote automated accreditation. Our approach is human-led, evidence-based, and accountable:

AAC also maintains public directory information for accreditation, candidacy, validation, membership, and related quality assurance records where publication is available and authorized.
