About Alda Seafood

Alda Seafood Holding (Alda Seafood) has its foundations in the European operations of Icelandic seafood company Samherji, which has operated a successful fishery in Iceland and Europe for decades. Alda Seafood was founded in the Netherlands in 2019, initially as the headquarters of Samherji in Europe. The Alda Seafood company headquarters are located in Oegstgeest. Since 2022, the company has been managed by its principal owner, the second generation of one of the founders of Samherji, and is run by a team of Icelandic and international managers.

Alda Seafood operates a fleet of fishing vessels, fish processing facilities, and sales offices in Europe and North America. The company is fully engaged in managing all its undertakings – part of the enterprises being in full ownership, others in active partnerships.
