About AI Technology for Life

We are an interdisciplinary research group led by prof. dr. Sanne Abeln at the Utrecht University at the department of Information and Computing Sciences.

We develop and use a wide range of computational methods, including: - Trustworthy and Explainable AI - Simulations of biological systems - Bioinformatics workflows - Multi-omics and multi-modal integration techniques

We also work on various biological problems, including: - Improving diagnosis and investigating genomics alterations in cancer - Explore mechanisms of protein aggregation - Finding novel biomarkers for neurodegenerative disease - Unravelling plant-microbiome interactions
