Het doel van de AE CHALLENGE is om uiteindelijk, met iedereen die zich verbindt aan dit initiatief, een bedrag op te halen van € 15.500,00 voor de Daniel Den Hoed Stichting.
De hoogte van het bedrag is bewust gekozen. Het is een knipoog naar het aantal hoogtemeters wat tijdens de Tour for Life tocht overwonnen moet worden, te weten 15.500 meter.
