How do you find remote locations in the entire digital world? And how do you obtain data from a system of which you have no means to access the server address?

Over a period of twenty years, we wrote an open-source masterserver and turned it into a real-time application for legacy games with live information services and interfaces for third parties.

In medio 2025, the University of Twente approved the masterserver project as case study and research project for Real-Time Systems (5EC) and Academic Project (10EC), starting in 2026.

Non-profit group that develops open-source masterserver software for legacy games. We focus on multiplayer support for legacy games, documenting our efforts and hosting the software/website.

We grew to be the go-to after GameSpy Industries shut down their services in 2014. Nowadays 333networks provides a network of masterserver for legacy games like Unreal Tournament 99, Unreal, Deus Ex, Rune, Postal and Serious Sam.
