We are a clothing company that creates cool designs with island pride! 297 Klothing Company was started way back in 2001. Wanting to wear customized clothing, the first heat press machine was purchased. We started out really small doing only a couple of designs. These designs were original and heat pressed on t-shirts. This project was called at that time Malfunktion, still a cool name after all of these years. At that time I was living in the US, going to school and doing this project on the side. I did one big project for a friend’s band, which was about 200 shirts designed by Malfunktion. That was awesome and a lot of work. I did a couple of prints, sold a couple and then just gave up on printing shirts all together. When moving back to my island of Aruba, sold the heat press. Fast forward to 2008, we start with the new project. 297 Klothing Company. 297 being the calling code for Aruba… Klothing with “K”, just to be a little different. I wanted to have a brand that would represent me, my peers but also my island. Something kinda edgy, kinda grungy but cool. Simple, smooth and clean. Island pride and cool designs that is what we are all about at 297 Klothing Company. You might as yourself.. What is the difference? What is the difference between 297 Klothing Company and the other brands that exist on the island. The difference is simple: everything is done in house, we design and print the shirts in house.
