Whispp develops and licenses real-time, on-device voice reconstruction AI that transforms how people communicate across accessibility, enterprise, and consumer applications.

Whispp’s real-time on-device voice AI converts affected and whispered speech into the person’s clear and natural voice. Powered by our audio-to-audio voice reconstruction technology, Whispp gives people with a voice condition their voice back and enables private, discreet calls simply by whispering.

The market opportunity for on-device voice AI is substantial, driven first by private, discreet calling. Whispp-based calling can enable silent conversations without disturbing others and can protect voice identity when confidentiality or anonymity matters. It can also support accessibility by giving voice to people with a voice condition and people who stutter severely, who are often more fluent when whispering. Whispp licenses its technology to mobile and PC OEMs and communications platforms for scaled integration.

Whispp has been recognized as a TIME Best Inventions 2024 honoree, selected for the EIC Accelerator with a €2.5M grant and equity commitment, named a CES Innovation Award 2024 Honoree, chosen as a 4YFN Best Startup Award finalist, and included in the 2025 Forbes Accessibility 100. The company is actively collaborating with global technology partners to bring voice reconstruction to market.

Founded in Leiden, Netherlands, in 2020 by CEO Joris Castermans and CTO Akash Raj Komarlu. The executive team includes Andreas Spechtler, former President of Dolby International, and Mahesh Sundaram, bringing deep expertise in global audio technology, OEM partnerships, commercialization, and international scaling.
