Wewe Africa: African Cultural Centre Amsterdam is a not for profit organization based in Amsterdam whose aim is to bridge the gap between African culture and the world by providing a physical space for African activities in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Wewe Africa aims to educate, inform, entertain and showcase the different facets of Africa. It offers a PLATFORM for both artistic thinking and creative thinking, providing a home for both Africans and non Africans. The centre comprises of an auditorium, a dance studio, a workshop studio and a radio/tv studio and small library which consists of African literature. African Cultural Centre Amsterdam is dedicated to preserving, promoting and presenting African art, history and culture through comprehensive programs and presentation in the visual arts, performing arts and through innovative education programs. Our MISSION is to Educate, Innovate,Entertain and Raise awareness of African cultures through leveraging the many resources of the African Cultural Centre Amsterdam to connect people from different cultures. The African Cultural centre Amsterdam provides an enriching environment to promote and preserve the heritage and shared cultures of the people from the African continent. Our AIM is to strengthen the self-image and pride of present and future generations, with the GOAL to bridge the cultural gap between Europe and Africa .
