This is what it's all about. A reminder for later, a own possession to fall back on in difficult times. The 'Wees de Foto' photobooklets for the children are always arranged for by the photographers. It is possible to make the photobook after their return to the Netherlands. However, it is also a good idea to make the booklets together with the children. This takes some arrangement, but with the current techniques this is easier than you might initially think. For the children it makes the celebration complete of course! Creating the photo books for the children can be done in the Netherlands. Often family, friends or acquaintances are asked to be creative. The costs (booklets, photographs etc.) are reimbursed by the Foundation. If the booklets are made in The Netherlands after the end of the journey, the Foundation ensures the maximum waiting time for the orphans is 3 months. It is even better to create the booklets on the spot with the children themselves. Of course this demands extra organization, but for the children this is really a feast. Not every destination will be suitable, but there is more possible than you may think. Of course it costs more time on location, but with two or three extra days this should be possible. In this situation the Foundation can ship the empty photo albums, printer(s), paper, etc. before departure. If you organise it well you can print the best shots every evening and make the booklets in the last three days.
