Van Trier is one of the oldest family businesses in the Netherlands, which has been passed down from father to son throughout its history. The company was founded in 1746 as a forge in the small town of De Heen and is now operating in a 30,000m² facility in Tholen. In 1996, Her Majesty the Queen granted Van Trier the right to use the Royal Coat of Arms and the title 'By Royal Warrant Supplier' due to its long history. The current owner, Gijs van Trier, represents the ninth generation in the company. Throughout the generations, Van Trier has been able to evolve and innovate, becoming the modern conveyor rental company it is today. Nowadays, Van Trier rents out 2,000 conveyors, ship loader, hoppers, and similar equipment for bulk handling worldwide each year.
