Van Belle Academy offers WSET (Wine and Spirits Education Trust) Certified Classes in English for Levels 1 & 2 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

We are available for private group teachings for your business.

Why Van Belle Academy?

Our teachers have collectively been in the Wine and Spirits industry for over 40 years, working not only within education but every point of the 'three-tier'​ system, importer, distribution, supplier, as well as hospitality and sommelier.

Students will gain informative instruction about wine and spirits. Weekly reviews of learning outcome and assess comprehension, with tasting analysis, and guided direction towards a possible career within the Wine and Spirits industry.

It is our goal to foster the next generation, instilling passion, insight, and wisdom into our students.

What you will learn?

The characteristics of all the major, and several minor, grape varieties of the world, the styles of wine they produce and how to recognise them by the label.

How wine grapes are grown.

How to store and serve wine.

How wine is made, and the differences between the key sparkling, sweet and fortified wines and spirits of the world.

The principles of food and wine pairing.

How to describe wine using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT).
