Maastricht University Language Centre is the university's supplier of language and cultural training. It provides language courses, language assessments and intercultural communication training to companies, governmental organisations, higher education institutes and Maastricht University students and staff. For companies aiming to make the most of Limburg's unique border-region location and proximity to other countries, multilingual skills and an understanding of cultural differences are no longer a luxury but a necessity.

The Language Centre offers a wide range of courses in modern languages as diverse as Chinese and Portuguese, while Dutch, Spanish, French, German and English are the typical languages taught. All of the experienced teachers are (near-) native speakers and highly qualified (minimum Masters level). Multiple training methods used, tailored to meet the requirements of the course being delivered. with face-to-face training or small interactive group lessons, language cafes and/or blended learning.
