University College Utrecht (UCU), a celebrated International Honors College of Utrecht University, is a vibrant academic community housing over 700 students from around the globe. At UCU, students can pursue a Bachelor of Arts or Sciences, benefitting from a curriculum renowned for its comprehensive and interlinked nature, unparalleled among Continental universities. An equally compelling aspect of UCU is its bustling campus life, featuring a plethora of student-led committees that organize diverse events every week bringing students who share the same interests together. One such committee is WineCo, founded in 2021 whose main aim was and still is to introduce the true meaning of wine to UCU and teach our fellow students all the secrets of an eight-thousand-year-old art. WineCo does more than simply serve wine - it offers a deep dive into oenology, the study of wine, and winemaking, encapsulating the joy, culture, and history associated with it. This aim is realized through various events such as wine tastings, wine and food pairings, best wine tournaments, and collaborative events with other committees, presenting a unique experience for all passionate wine enthusiasts at UCU.
