Tulip Strategy owes its name to the Dutch appearance and the fascinating history of this beautiful flower. In 1634 a bizarre development started in the Netherlands in the tulip bulb market. Prices skyrocketed to astronomical heights for no apparent reason.

The tulip mania is seen by economists as the first speculation bubble in world history. Some benefited greatly from it at the time. However, most have paid for the success of those few.
