THE BRAND TOTOTÈ.STUDIO is a Dutch and Ethical bag brand, which designs according to three core pillars: upcycled, ethical and Dutch design.

Upcycled design: 100% made of leftover leather + lined with 100% silk and unique vintage scarfs

Ethical design 100% manufactured by newcomers with a refugee background

Dutch design: 100% locally produced in the Netherlands

By working with discarded materials on one hand, working with newcomers with a refugee background on the other hand, as well producing locally in the Netherlands, the brand aims to intertwine multiple forces, creating bags with respect for people and planet.

THE DESIGNER Laurèl Bodenhorst Meyer is born and raised in the Netherlands and started in fashion in 2012 at the Amsterdam Fashion University, with additionally a study in Marketing and Communications. In 2017 she got the chance to study at the Italian Fashion University Polimoda where she graduated with a Masters in Fashion Buying & Product Management. Since her return in the Netherlands, she has been working for several years within the fashion industry, for a.o. G-Star RAW.

With a history of hospitalizations in her younger years, Laurèl developed a clear understanding of the value of life and the power of creating meaning. With the aspiration to redirect bad into good, she uses her past experiences as her motivation and inspiration, which got translated into the voice of TOTOTÈ.STUDIO today.
