The TOPSQUAD project will pave the way towards quantum computing, which is a game-changer that will impact all areas of our lives, create new industries and disrupt existing ones. TOPSQUAD's vision is to enable the world of quantum computing through an unprecedented stable and scalable many-qubit system. This platform will allow establishing important scientific breakthroughs. Creating scalable topologically protected qubits in TOPSQUAD will expand leadership and excellence in quantum technologies not only on EU level, but will present a major advancement for the field worldwide. TOPSQUAD is a superb joint public-private undertaking of top scientists and professionals in the fields of material science, micro- and nanofabrication, electronic instrumentation, experimental and theoretical quantum physics and instrument development. All partners will cross the boundaries of their own expertise in order to understand the intricacies of the requirements for scalable topological qubits in the other disciplines.
