Toontibo is a Dutch-based trading company on a mission to rebalance the conventional value chain because people in poverty can neither look after their communities nor their land.

We sell premium, handcrafted Shea butter in Europe, the UK, and the USA. Toontibo guarantees a competitive price for our customers AND a stable net wage for the female producers that is above the poverty rate and four times more than current practice.

In addition, we re-invest profits in our sourcing communities so that people can build a future in their native community and nurture their land to reduce migration and climate change.

Toontibo is part of the Fair-trading Alliance with the Leap into Life Foundation and the Ghanaian community of Saakuba, which includes a 100% female-owned Shea butter producing cooperative. Organised to serve a shared purpose – healthy communities, a healthy supply chain and healthy nature – our Alliance works together to co-create regenerative practices for sustainable international trade.
