The prestigious Zuylenburgh Collection demonstrates the extraordinary scientific developments of the 17th and 18th centuries and the instruments used at the time. Its emphasis is on clocks, astronomy, microscopes, telescopes and rare books and manuscripts.

Planetarium Zuylenburgh was completed in 2009. It is the second ceiling planetarium in The Netherlands. Eise Eisinga's planetarium in Franeker served as its source, but the many new concepts developed by its makers make Planetarium Zuylenburgh a unique example of contemporary craftsmanship. Made entirely by hand by Pieter de Ruiter, Aalbert Hoogendoorn and Sjaak Lagerweij, it took about three years to build.
