Over The Walnuts - Impacting Lives Together!

In our dream world, everyone deserves to live a life full of hope, the ability to do what they love, with access to basic services, and to have equal rights and feel safe. Unfortunately, the reality is different. The first time we arrived in South Sudan, we were shocked and utterly in tears about the injustice and the poverty we witnessed, and we literally thought we were too small to make a real impact. But down the line and while we served in many more countries like Nepal, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Iraq we also realised that a dream world would never become real if we don’t start making change ourselves.

And yes, we can’t change the world, but we can have an impact on a human’s life. And there are already a lot of great organisations out there making a difference. Therefore, we started The Walnuts: we impact lives together by supporting national and international charities serving the most vulnerable. Inspired by our Christian faith, and the need within the organisations we serve, we support to be able to make a meaningful impact.

Successful organisations thank their success to their thriving staff: people are the heart of their service. So if an organisation has gaps, needs short-to medium term leadership, creative solutions to humanitarian challenges, strategic advice, empowerment, communication-strategies, fundraising advice, coordination with proposal writing, innovation, change, structured processes, the Walnuts can be contacted!

We offer a wide range of services for charities, both in the Netherlands as well as anywhere else in the world: in (post) crisis areas. We can cover both long- and short-term projects. We can live in basic living conditions and we are also available (better) as a team.
