In the realm of accelerators, incubators, traineeships and masterclasses of entrepreneurship, we want to be different. We are TEC and what makes us special is that we want to use the experience of world-class entrepreneurs to mentor and motivate a younger generation. Join us on a journey to discover the entrepreneur that might be hiding inside you. The TEC Honourship Program Entrepreneurship was founded by a group of successful entrepreneurs in their fifties together with a group of enthusiastic students. We have one thing in common: we want to change something. When we look at the ‘career landscape’ in the Netherlands we see that the possibility of seriously pursuing a career in entrepreneurship is rarely considered. This is not only bad for young talented entrepreneurs, but also for the Dutch economy as a whole. We don’t want everybody to be an entrepreneur or to be ‘the next Steve Jobs’, but we want at least to facilitate the possibility for students to seriously consider the option of becoming a startup entrepreneur. That’s why we decided to start the TEC Honourship Program Entrepreneurship. In five years, we hope that we have been able to create an ecosystem of young entrepreneurs in the Netherlands that get assistance from more experienced ones, who also reach out to inspire an even younger generation of entrepreneurs.
