For synthetic components, webbings, chains, and cables, the SYNthLOCk™ – also referred to as the synthetic locking pin, cotter pin, or safety pin – is an essential element in mechanical, maritime, lifting, and heavy-duty applications. It ensures that fastenings involving synthetic lines, loops, or webbing remain secure under all conditions – whether loaded or unloaded.

Why SYNthLOCk™ matters – and how it supports certification The SYNthLOCk™ is not itself a certification or certified product. However, it plays a supporting role in enabling assemblies and systems to meet certification and compliance standards. In short: it’s often the missing link that allows your system to be certified.

1. Protection against loosening; Prevents critical synthetic connections from loosening due to vibration, cyclic loading, or unloading. 2. Safety enhancement; In high-risk sectors such as marine, aerospace, or industrial lifting, SYNthLOCk™ helps maintain secure connections—avoiding system failure or accidents. 3. Reliability; Ensures consistent performance over time, reducing inspection frequency and maintenance costs. 4. Certification support; While SYNthLOCk™ itself is not a certified component, it enables manufacturers and integrators to comply with the requirements of major standards and directives/regulations by securing synthetic load paths safely.
