Over SXM DOET

On Friday, May 15th, and Saturday, May 16th, 2026, Be The Change Foundation, in collaboration with the Oranje Fonds, is delighted to present the twelfth edition of SXM DOET: the largest volunteer event on Sint Maarten and in the Kingdom.

The DOET initiative originated over 18 years ago within the Kingdom, starting in the Netherlands and soon embraced by the Dutch Caribbean islands. Today, it encompasses NLdoet (The Netherlands), ARUBA DOET (Aruba), BON DOET (Bonaire), CURA DOET (Curaçao), STATIA DOET (St. Eustatius), and SXM DOET (Sint Maarten). These initiatives spotlight both the act of volunteering and the volunteers themselves, encouraging everyone to roll up their sleeves for (part of) a day. This collective effort ensures a fulfilling and gratifying experience, contributing to the well-being of community-serving organizations by providing the help they need and deserve.
