RETHINK, RE-IMAGINE, EXPLORE AND ACT

Since September 2016 I work as an independent designer in Amsterdam. At my studio I develop my own products as well as commissioned projects.

Commissioned projects include every aspect in product development, from concept development to the first sketches, from prototypes to production consultancy as well as presentation materials like video's and product photography.

My own design and art projects are hands-on and research-based. Inspired by cultural groups, nature and exploring systems. I explore everyday objects: What are the raw materials, the labour, the crafts and the knowledge that is needed to develop these objects? With this knowledge I am able to rethink and re-imagine the way we make objects and apply this in my own design practice.
