Akka's Ganzenparadijs is a bird sanctuary where all, especially domesticated, birds that are threatened with death, find a safe shelter.

After continuously being confronted with the way, in which people deal with other defenseless (co-)residents, we learn that something urgently needs to be done for these defenseless living beings.

The answer was that Chögyal Trizin founded Akka's Ganzenparadijs foundation in September 2007 as a response, a foundation that aims to help as many living beings as possible who are having a hard time and to serve as a safety net for neglected, abused or endangered animals in the broadest sense of the word!
