Space Matters emerged from the conviction that the spaces accommodating our lives are crucial to our wellbeing. Our approach to designing spaces & activities is based on providing a full sensorial experience for people.

Space Matters is a network of creative entrepreneurs. By offering and connecting different disciplines we are capable of shaping ideas and realising them. We dedicate ourselves to renovating & repurposing buildings and have experience with a great variety of spatial interventions. Your idea can be translated into a design and your design can be realised. No ideas? We'll come up with a few.

The objects we encounter in our lives shape the spaces that are crucial to our wellbeing. The purpose of Space Matters is to construct these objects from the functions they perform. The intended functions are defined by means of a thorough analysis and extensive collaboration with the end-users. These functions are often more than just mechanical. A bookshelf can be more than a place to store books and a house can be more than a shelter, it can be a home. An object can be surprising, astonishing and raise questions. In many objects the experience it offers is even more important than its utilitarian purpose.
