Over SonoScience

SonoScience is about ultrasound research and science. SonoScience is a non-profit network which focusses on clinical relevant scientific research in the domain of ultrasound.

The SonoScience network consists out of SonoSkills, SonoCenters plus several established partnerships with universities or individual key-opinion leaders. All combined creates a powerful, skilled and smart network with a good infrastructure and research facilities.

The research being done can be qualitative, quantitative, literature studies, etc. Examples of studies in which SonoScience is interested, but not exclusively, are studies about: ✔ Diagnostic accuracy: validity, specificity, sensitivity ✔ Reproducibility: inter- and intra reliability ✔ Measurement protocols, standardization ✔ Reference values ✔ Minimal detectable change ✔ Standard error of measurement ✔ Correlation between cadaveric anatomy and ultrasound ✔ Correlation between ultrasound and other medical imaging tools ✔ Cost effectiveness ✔ Added value for clinical reasoning and clinical decision making ✔ And more...
