Over Solvoz Foundation

Solvoz Foundation is a Netherlands-based non-profit foundation working to strengthen responsible, effective and inclusive procurement in the humanitarian, development and wider non-profit sectors.

The Foundation grew from the AidMetrics (2016) and AidInnov journey (2019), started by experienced humanitarians who saw that procurement knowledge, supplier visibility and market access were too often fragmented across the aid sector. In 2019, the AidInnov Foundation was established with support from Philips Foundation. In 2021, it became Solvoz Foundation. Till 2025 the role of the Foundation was limited, mainly related to the guardianship of open-access knowledge and mission lock of Solvoz.tech. From 2026 the Foundation becomes operational, with an independent board. supporting open-access procurement knowledge, fairer market access for local and regional suppliers, and mission-led deployments that help NGOs, donors and non-profit actors use procurement as a lever for localisation, transparency and better use of public and donor funds.

Through Foundation-supported deployments, guidance materials, grant-funded programmes and sector collaboration, we aim to lower barriers to professional procurement infrastructure for the organisations it was originally built for: NGOs, humanitarian actors, development partners and public-benefit programmes.

In Foundation-supported deployments, registration is free for suppliers, SMEs and manufacturers, helping create fairer, more transparent and more accessible markets for the non-profit sector.

Solvoz Foundation operates independently as a non-profit foundation with its own mission, governance and public-benefit responsibilities. Where digital infrastructure is required, technology, hosting and support can be delivered through formal service agreements, ensuring continuity, security and professional delivery.

Our mission is simple: open knowledge, local markets and better procurement for public benefit.
