Over sMaak

sMaak is a project from Enactus EUR. We are a catering business made up by refugees and immigrants from Schiedam.

sMaak aims to help integrating immigrants and refugees from diverse backgrounds into the Dutch society. In doing so, we are trying to set the grounds for a catering business. By following their common passion and communicating in Dutch while organizing the catering and cooking, we are helping these people by furthering their integration process, help them escape loneliness and be more financially independent.

Because they come from different backgrounds they found two things that they share: the passion for cooking and finding themselves living in a new country. sMaak is a unique project as it allows immigrants and refugees to develop their skills within something they’re passionate about. Our aim is to create a sustainable business so the people of sMaak can financially support themselves and follow their passion while being integrated into the Dutch society.
